It was a SHARE attendee, an employee of the CIA, that called the Justice Department when the Iran-Contra hearings began, informing Justice that he personally backed up all of the PROFS files that Ollie North thought he had deleted; because users would delete and then need the copy they deleted, PROFS doesn’t actually delete anything, and the backup tapes provided all of the evidence.
